Taylor is a theatre artist and Alexander Technique teacher with a passion for human potential. She holds a BFA and MFA in Acting, and received training in many acting methods throughout the years: Grotowski, Meisner, Chekhov, LeCoq, Linklater, Laban, and more. In addition to working as a professional actor and director in the Chicago area, Taylor has over eight years of experience teaching theatre and public speaking in multiple institutions of higher education. â€‹Taylor completed her 1600-hour Alexander certification at the ATTiC in Chicago and the Balance Arts Center in New York City, and she teaches group workshops as part of BAC's global conference initiative. Her competitive gymnastics background and experience as a gymnastics coach invigorates her understanding of the human body in performance. Originally drawn to Alexander work to assist in performance situations, she discovered that the Alexander Technique addresses and improves how a person does anything. This qualifies Taylor to work on a variety of activities: from high-impact performance situations to chronic pain and issues of everyday life.

BAC Global Alexander Technique Conference

I will host a workshop called AT & Household Activities on October 12 for the Balance Arts Center in New York City. Click here to register for an all-access pass to the conference!

AT & Household Activities

This workshop will explore the mechanics of everyday household activities. The key to decreasing long-term wear and tear of the body is expansive awareness in moments that seem to be commonplace. Participants will experiment with reliable strategies inspired by the Alexander Technique in hopes of employing better physical use in daily tasks.
